INDIKA Description

So, there’s this super interesting game called INDIKA, where you play as a young nun who’s on this really strange journey. It’s a third-person adventure with a dark sense of humor. The main character, Indika, goes on a journey of self-discovery, and guess what? She’s traveling with the devil! Like, literally. It sounds wild, right?

Indika starts as this innocent nun trying to get used to the boring life in a monastery. But she’s got this crazy connection with the devil, and because of that, she has to leave the monastery. What she finds outside is a world that’s both funny and tragic, kind of like in those old Russian novels by Dostoevsky. It’s like seeing Russia through a weird, distorted mirror!

As you play, you’ll help Indika explore her soul by solving unique puzzles and traveling through surreal, dreamlike landscapes. There are also 2D-pixel art mini-games that reveal her troubled past. It’s all about her learning more about herself and figuring out answers to big questions about life, religion, and authority.

The game is made by this small indie team called Odd Meter. They were based in Moscow but now work out of Kazakhstan, and they love making games with deep meaning and cool aesthetics. They’re not anxious to thrust boundaries, and this amusement completely reflects that. It’s such a new and diverse approach compared to what most recreations offer!
