Nine Sols Description

Nine Sols is a hand-drawn, 2D action-platformer with a focus on deflection-based combat, kind of like Sekiro. You play as a hero named Yi who goes on a quest for revenge in a land that used to be home to an ancient alien race. His mission is to vanquish the 9 Sols, effective rulers of this bizarre, surrendered world.

The story takes put in Unused Kunlun, which has been quiet for a long time. The Solarians, who once lived there, had left it as a sanctuary, protected by sacred rituals. But things change when Yi, a hero from the past, is awakened by a human child. Presently, he’s out to overcome the 9 Sols and reveal the covered-up truths around the domain and its divine beings.

The combat in this game is super fast and intense! You can slash, block attacks, and use these cool Taoist talismans to fight enemies. There are also these epic boss fights where you need to know all of Yi’s moves, especially his amazing godly bow, to beat these giant guardians and really scary monsters. It’s all about being quick and using your skills to win!

The world of Nine Sols may be a cool blend of cyberpunk and Taoism, something they call “Taopunk.” You’ll explore different zones, meet NPCs who can assist you with overhauls, and find unused capacities and covered-up innovation along the way. The game has beautifully hand-drawn environments and manga-inspired cutscenes that make everything feel really stylish and unique.

It’s made by Red Candle Games, the same studio behind the award-winning horror games Detention and Devotion. This can be their most driven venture however, mixing a wealthy story with action-packed gameplay.
